💗Valentine's Day: Feb 1-8th Online & Feb 9-11th In-Person
It's time to be thinking about one of the PTSA's most loved community-building events...the Valentine's Day store! Each year we sell valentines to students, parents & staff to be delivered to 7th period classes on Fri., Feb.13th (since Valentine's Day is on Saturday). We keep the price-point low & offer many fun goodies so all students can purchase Valentine's for friends, crushes, or teachers. Parents are encouraged to join in the fun too & surprise their kiddo with a Valentine 🙂 The money raised through sales helps support student events, as well as cover costs to ensure each student receives a Valentine's treat!

In-Person purchases: can be made Feb 9-11th ONLY with cash at the Student Store before school and at lunch.
All purchases will be delivered on Friday, February 13th. Note to Wrestling Parents: we'll prepare all treats for wrestlers separately & deliver to Coaches before the bus leaves for districts that day 🙂

The PTSA is partnering with Fit Body Bootcamp (next to WildRoots Coffee on Lancaster St.) to offer their 21-day transformation kickstart program exclusively for SVMS parents & staff for the low cost of $77!
Normally $177...the 21-day transformation kickstart program includes 40-minute group workouts with a fitness coach along with both nutritional and accountability support while generously donating a portion of the savings back to SVMS.
SVMS parents & staff have until Fri Jan 30th to enroll in the 21-day transformation program at the discounted price of $77 and 30 days from enrollment to start their transformation with a Fit Body coach.

🍵National Hot Cocoa Day: Thurs, Jan 29th from 8:15-9:30am
Join us in celebrating National Hot Cocoa by helping the PTSA & student leaders with a Random Act of Kindness! Leadership students will decorate 8oz. paper cups with encouraging words while PTSA assists with production/distribution of hot cocoa to students & faculty during advisory. Since the holiday falls on Saturday & there's no-school for students on Fri., Jan 30th because it's an end-of-semester grading day for teachers, we need volunteers to help on Thurs., Jan 29th. 📆Next Monthly PTSA Meeting: Tues. Feb. 10th, 6-6:30pm at SVMS Library Join us as we finalize Valentine's Day logistics & begin planning Pi Day as well as other discussions of upcoming community building events; volunteer & fundraising opportunities; updates from Sky View Admin!
Notes:
📢the first 30-minutes of the meeting will be exclusively PTSA-related topics. At 6:30pm, the meeting will transition to the official kick-off meeting for the 8th grade celebration planning committee in which a chairperson is nominated & meetings separate from the PTSA will be organized. As previously shared...the 8th grade celebration is fully managed & financed by 8th grade parent volunteers - not the PTSA or SVMS Admin/Faculty. Therefore, any 8th grade student and/or parent interested in shaping the theme/concept/location of the event should attend 😁
📢 4 of our 6 Board Members will be “retiring” at the end of the ‘25-26 school year. Parents interested in joining the Board are welcome to come learn about the roles/responsibilities this winter. Elections will be in May'26. 😊t
