📢A big THANK YOU to Hilary Metcalf for volunteering to be the lead chairperson for the 8th grade celebration planning committee!! Based on student survey results the committee will begin planning a local field trip for 8th graders to celebrate their promotion to high school. A small parent/family event will also be organized for the end of the school year.
As previously shared...the 8th grade celebration is fully managed & financed by 8th grade parent volunteers - not the PTSA or SVMS Admin/Faculty. Therefore, any 8th grade parent interested in shaping the theme/concept/location of the event should attend the next meeting on Tues March 3rd at 6pm in the SVMS library😁
📢 4 of our 6 Board Members will be “retiring” at the end of the ‘25-26 school year. Parents interested in joining the Board are welcome to come learn about the roles/responsibilities this winter. Elections will be in May'26. 😊
